Hi, I’m Rashidah!
I’m Rashidah Jones, LMSW, PCC, and at my core, I’m someone who believes deeply in people, possibility, and purpose.
My work lives at the intersection of coaching, social work, workforce development, education, and community impact. For more than 20 years, I’ve created programs, experiences, and opportunities that help people navigate transition, reconnect with themselves, and move toward the lives and goals they envision for themselves.
I’m especially passionate about supporting underserved and under-resourced communities, youth and young adults, emerging leaders, and individuals who may not have always had access to the right support systems, networks, or opportunities. Much of my work is rooted in helping people move beyond survival mode into spaces where they can breathe, build, create, and thrive.
I’m the Founder of Focused Goals LLC and the Co-Founder of Black Girls Coaching Inc., where my work centers around coaching, workforce development, community impact, and expanding access to meaningful support and opportunities.
Over the years, I’ve built work that spans coaching, entrepreneurship, youth programming, facilitation, curriculum design, and community engagement. I’m known for blending strategy with authenticity and bringing both heart and structure into the spaces I lead. No matter the setting, my goal is always the same: helping people and communities move forward with intention.
Beyond the work, I’m a wife and momma who believes in dreaming big so my daughters do the same.
As a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) and Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), I’ve built my career at the intersection of coaching, social work, workforce development, and community impact. I’ve always believed in the power and potential of people.
My mission is to support individuals, especially those from underserved and under-resourced communities, as well as those with limited support systems or networks, while they navigate challenges, pursue new opportunities, and create meaningful change in their lives.
From addressing systemic barriers to advocating for educational, personal, and professional growth, my work has always been rooted in creating lasting, people-centered impact.
Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside incredible organizations, communities, and individuals, helping to build programs, expand access to opportunity, and support growth and transformation at both the individual and systems level.
About Me
The Journey
Past roles include serving as the Senior Program Manager for the Urban League of Greater Atlanta, spending nine years in Recruitment and Admissions leadership at Year Up United, and a ten-year career as Promotions Director at Radio One Atlanta, where I developed and scaled programs, community initiatives, and engagement experiences focused on youth empowerment, educational and career advancement, workforce development, entrepreneurship, and community impact.
Through initiatives centered around college access, career readiness, leadership development, and entrepreneurship, I have helped build pipelines of opportunity that support the long-term success of young people and communities across Atlanta.
I’m also the Co-Founder of Black Girls Coaching Inc., an initiative dedicated to making coaching accessible to BIPOC communities. At Black Girls Coaching, we provide impactful coaching, powerful tools, and valuable resources that support personal, educational, and professional empowerment.
